Megan’s Maternity

This gorgeous mama is Megan.

I have absolutely loved watching her family grow over the past year.
Her and her husband just celebrated their one year wedding anniversary in May.
And this month they welcomed their precious baby boy into the world.

Ive been wanting to play around with smoke bombs and dry ice for quite some time now.
Megan was kind enough to let me use her and her stunning baby belly.

Toys & Boys

Doesn’t matter what age they are.
Boys like their toys.

And if you’re anything like me-
I seek out any moment with peace.
Those times when the kids are actually getting along.
When I don’t have to entertain.
They are few and far between at this age.

But these are the times I want to remember.
When there are no tears.
No yelling.
No fighting.
Just peace.

Enjoying the presence of my beautiful children.
Watching them explore their world.

At The Park – A Lifestyle Shoot

People always say it, and you never believe it until its too late…

You blink and another year has passed.
You’re so eager to get to that ‘next stage’ that you forget to appreciate this one.
You quickly forget the inbetween moments that made up your day-to-day life.

Lifestyle photography is meant to capture your children the way they are.
The good, the bad, the excitement, the frustration, the exploration, the wonder, the tears.
All the things that make up your unique child.
All the little things you love.

Stavros Auto Services

One of my favorite things to photograph is people in their “natural habitat”.
When people are doing what they love and are passionate about, it shows.
I had the opportunity to photograph the employees at Stavros Auto Services, just doing what they do.
It was interesting getting a behind the scenes view of what goes on in the Auto Body Repair world.

A Vineyard Proposal

About a year and a half ago I got a call mid morning.
Jorden was wanting to propose to his girlfriend that afternoon at a winery in Dundee and was in need of a photographer to capture the surprise.
Im a sucker for a good proposal, so of course I agreed.

I set up my bunker just on the other side of a row of grapes. I had the perfect little opening to stick my lens through.
I waited.
I could hear my heart pounding.
My breath sounded like an engine revving.
I was convinced I was going to blow the whole operation.

The vineyard car pulled up right in front of me.
Jorden and Chelsea got out and made their way to a “complementary” table with wine set up in the field.

You could hear a helicopter in the distance approaching.
That was his cue.
Jorden took a knee.

A Disney Proposal

Three years ago my little brother proposed to the girl of his dreams.
Emma went to school at Vanguard University in Southern California so her family frequented Disneyland whenever they would come down to visit. Spring Break 2014 was no different. Little did she know, her life would change forever.
My brother had been working on his surprise proposal for months, conspiring with Emma’s family, making necessary arrangements, printing t-shirts… every detail had to be perfect!
We arrived in Anaheim the day before. We had to hibernate in the hotel to avoid being accidentally spotted. Emma’s parents were the only ones who knew we were all there… waiting.
The morning of the proposal we threw on our shirts and rushed out the door. We kept close tabs on Emma’s whereabouts with her Dad. We ran through the park and to the other side of the castle. Everyones hearts were beating. We hid just out of sight.
Then we got the txt. “Where here and headed to the castle”. Emma’s Dad lined his family up for a picture with the castle in the background.
We made our move.
We shoved our way through the crowd.
We lined up.
“Will” “You” “Marry” “My Studly Uncle”
Mark took a knee.
She turned around and….
The crowd cheered!!!

Mark and Emma are coming up on two years of marriage this summer.
Im so thankful that I was able to be a part of such a wonderful surprise!
